How do I keep my steering controls working?

I want to upgrade the CD player in my car. I've got the 'premier' sound system in my 2002 SS.

I think I'll be getting a Pioneer Premier deck - 940/840/740 - one of those series.

I would like to keep the steering wheel audio controls, even though I dont use them, since they are there - I dont want them dead.

How can this be accomplished?

keeping steering controls

All you have to do is buy a stereo with a wireless remote. They sell a black box that you can hook to the wire from the steering controls. Then you use the remote that came with the deck and program the box to work with the steering controls. I believe the name of the company is periphrial(spelling). Its not as confusing as it sounds the hardest part is hiding the eye from the box.
