How do I bridge my amp?

I have 2 JL12w6's wired to 6ohms so I want to bridge my amp to make them 3ohms.

I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch G800a2.

I tried taking the + from one channel and the - from the other but one sub would work and the other wouldn't.

Am i doing this right?

You wire subs in Parallel or series... you bridge amps..

If it's a 2 channel amp, then check your owners manual and see which terminals to attach to on the amp.

Wire both speaker +s to the + specified in the book, and both -s to the - specified in the book.

NOTE: BE SURE your amp can handle a 2(3) ohm load in mono configuration, if it is only specified for a 4, then you can/will blow the amplifier.

Edit: now that i re-read your post, I don't believe any RF amps will be stable in this configuration, thus you could bridge the amp, but you will have to wire spe speakers in Series, not Parallel.

Amp + to Sub 1 +, Sub 1 - to Sub 2 +, Sub 2 - to Amp -

So I combine both + wires into the left + channel and both - wires into the right - channel?

You HAVE to check your owners manual on the amp, it can vary on which to hook up where...

And you can blow the amp if you hook it up the way you are saying (Wiring the speakers in parallel) if that amp can't handle the 3 ohm load mono (Which I don't believe ANY RF amps can handle).

I lost the manual but the Test Sheet which shows all the specs of the amp says it was rated at 952 watts at 2 ohms so I think it should be fine.

I looked at an online manual for the same amp but a year older I think and they only showed a bridged hookup for a single sub, not 2.
