how did u run a second battery to the back.

i was thinken of ading a second battery to my system because im putting a 1000watt amp in and i dont want to run 0/1 gauge wire all the way to the back just for the amp so i figured since i have a spare deep cycle battery i should throw that in back. I was thinken of getting one of those kits from summit but was wandering how everyone else did it.

i got one of those kits from summit, works great, although the box is so big i couldnt fit it to where i wanted, but the optima is so damn heavy and 'trapped' between the side and my box that it aint going anywhere. anywho, it was easy, slice a lil hole where the rubber plug from the pcm goes through the firewall into the car. jam the 2 guage wire provided through that and wire it to the solenoid or isolator that you have chosen (i used a 200 amp solenoid from lightning audio, PN S200, $60). its easy. i havent finished the install but ill try and report back when i do. also, i have a post about wiring up a solenoid lurking somewhere in here, look for that.

well, it was a bitch to hide the 2 guage wire from the solenoid to the rear battery but we did it.......a little bulge in the floor area where it is going around the seatbelt, but no biggie at this point. if you need a hand with the install let me know, i can try and lend a hand as (i think) we have it wired in properly.
