Amp suggestions?
Which amp would you guys suggest to power two 12 inch Kicker Comp VR's. I want adequate power so I know the subs are there, but I'm not trying to break windows or anything like that. Thanks for helping out an audio newbie
The Comp VRs are rated at 400W RMS each. So you'll want at least 300W RMS to each. I would go with a JBL 600.1. For that amp you'll want to go with the dual 2 ohm version of the Comp VRs. That way you can run each sub's voice coils in parallel for a 1 ohm load each, then wire them together in series for a final 2 ohm load. That amp will put out about 350W RMS to each sub. Drop those subs in 1-1.25 cubic feet sealed each and you should be good to go.
BTW, for this setup I recommend that you go with 75-100W RMS per side for your component set.

It's up to you but if you're not sure I would just get the front speakers first then if you decide later that you want rears too, get some decent coaxial speakers and just run them off the HU. You're not going to want ear piercing rear fill and I'm sure your passengers in the rear won't either.
