I really hate this Monsoon my SS came with.
Thinking of pulling the factory front/rear speakers/amps/head unit and starting fresh. I'll most likely just end up unplugging the "trunk" speakers as they wont be used/needed.

As far as head units go, not sure yet, but it will be a 7" navi unit, most likely Alpine or Pioneer.

Thinking of a JL 300/4 powering JL Audio VR650-CSi components in the front and JL Audio XR650-CXi full range rears.

Will the be clear, clean sounding, and loud enough to hear over my exhaust with the ttops off? I'll most likely end up with another mono amp/sub at some point, but it will be at least 6 months after I get this installed.

 

hell yeah!! JL is a very nice audio company. they are on the expensive end but you get what you pay for. you should be fine even with the t-tops off.
