Help installing HU

Just got a Pioneer DEH-P750MP HU for my b-day and want to put it in my Z28 with the 5 speaker Bose system. I can't afford new speakers and such, so I just want to put in the HU and run the stock speakers and subwoofer off of it. Spent the last 2 hours looking through 40+ pages in this forum and got little tidbits of info, but nothing specific about doing this.

I read that I'll need some kind of wiring harness... which one? Where can I get it from?

The Bose speakers have their own amps, right? Do i have to remove these or can they be used with the Pioneer as-is?

Antenna adapter..... which one and where to get it?

Is it just plug and play? Anything else I need/need to know?

Here is a link to the adaptor you will need if you don't replace amd rewire the whole systemPAC Oem-1 It was suspended for some reason today. If it is still not up do aa search for PAC in Crutchfield.com

What are you talking about man? The PAC OEM1 takes line level inputs and gives you 2 pair of RCA outputs. That's NOT what he is looking for. The part you need is part # ROEM-GM21 and can be bought from here. It also comes with all the wiring you will need to install your new HU. But with any single din unit (like the Pioneer you have) you'll also need a dash kit. This converts the din and 1/2 opening to fit a single din HU.

The following are Metra dash kits:

99-4544 - '82 and UP GM multi-kit with 1/2 DIN EQ option

99-3300 - Chevy/Olds/Pontiac 1994 and UP dash kit (flush)

99-3009 - Camaro/Firebird 1993 and UP dash kit (flush, fits better than 99-3300)

I think the OEM 1 will work too, you just have to adjust the line levels yourself. (BUT I HAVE NO IDEA) The ROEM-GM21 seems to be a pre set converter.

Either way, I really need to know which one I have to get cause the two clicks is too loud install I have now is driving me nuts.

What if I ran wired directly from the HU to the BOSE speakers???
