Help....

Alright, When i'm driving down the road listening to my music and all sometimes when I hit a bump or small pot hole it seems like a "lose" a lot of my bass, but then when I hit another bump or pot hole it comes back. It did the exact same thing with my old system except in it, when you hit a bump and lost the bass you couldn't hear ANY at all until the next bump came around, but with my new system you can still hear it, just not as much. Since it has done this in both systems I know it can't be the Sub,Box,or the Amp. Could it be the wiring from the battery? I need to fix this!

Whenever I have encountered this problem it has always been a bad or cold solder joint on the circuit board of the amplifier. Most of the time it was where the RCA jacks were soldered to the circuit board inside the amplifier.

Were they Pioneer amps by any chance? This has happened to 2 different Pioneer amps that I've worked on in the past.

Those are both considered low-end amplifiers so it wouldn't surprise me at all if you had bad solder joints as I mentioned. Try firing up your system and jiggle the RCA plugs at the inputs of your amp and see what happens.

Do you know anyone that has any knowledge of electronics that could take a look at it for you?

Did you try jiggling the RCA's at the amp?
