Alright, I've got a few simple questions on different Head units.

I have the 95cd head unit with 4 speakers in my convertible. I want to add cd changer to the system, but I dont want an aftermarket HU, I think they look bad, and not sure if the 95-96 units had cd changers as an option. So I may buy a 97+ unit off ebay and swap it in...

I think my HU has the external amps all over the place at each speaker because the HU uses low level outputs, right (or is that the later 97+ unit)? If so, will I have to upgrade the wiring to run the head unit? I want to replace the speakers anyway, so no biggie.

I want the newer (but non-monsoon) head unit, because it has cd changer ability, where I do believe mine does not. Correct?

If you push "aux" on the 97+ head units, what happens? Does it go to the cd changer, and how do you control it?

The later, non-monsoon and earlier bose HU's had a sub output, right? Did the convertibles use the same head unit?

How do you tell on the later head units if it's monsoon or not (I know some do not say)?

Has anyone ever swapped head unit for another model head unit?
