Unhappy head unit question

how long are aftermarket head units usually lasting these days? i've got a Kenwwod Excelon KDC-X759 for about 2.5 years, and it doesn't want to work anymore.

Re: head unit question

maybe the LED's burnt up?

As for the MASK thing, no idea. Is that the motorized faceplate thing?

Definetly check the fuse. I scored a nice alpine deck a while ago for 5 bucks because the kid thought it was fried. I spent 15 cents on a fuse and it was good as new.

it happens all the time people think there decks are screwed but it just simple problems like bad grounds or blown fuses so they get rid of them.

Re: head unit question

i think you shoulda just bought a new head unit.

*yours was older and wouldn't hurt to be upgraded
*you had to pay shipping (really is lame, especially if you paid for the extra warranty from them)
*you won't have anything to listen to in your car for around 4-6 weeks (my g/f sent her deck to sony a few months ago, and it took forever to get it back)

just my .02
