Having trouble with Pioneer CD changer

I've had a 12 disk Pioneer CD changer for a while now (model CDX-P1250).

All of a sudden it's not powering up. So I checked the connection by connecting a small light to the power and ground terminals on the plug that goes into the changer. The light came on, so connection is not the problem. It's come on and worked for a day or so and cut off again. It has done that a couple times.

Does anyone have any experience with this changer? Or know what would cause this? Is it something simple I can fix by opening up the changer and replacing something? Should I get it fixed professionally? buy a new one?

Help please 12 CDs being held hostage inside of it!

Have you checked the grounds for the player? I have that same changer, it did the same thing. It was the ground. Maybe you'll get lucky and that's what it will be.

Yeah I checked the connection at the plug with a little light, connected both power and ground, light came on.

I also thought it might be the ground before I tired the light, so I changed the ground place a couple times. That's why I think it has to be something internal.
