hardest hitting setup....

Hey guys, Im looking to get a hard hitting system...

heres what I have mapped out so far...

(1) Rockford Fosgate Punch HE2 12" (http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...3015&scat=3013)

(1)Pioneer 800-Watt Bridgeable MOSFET Amplifier (http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...3015&scat=3012)

(1)Alpine CDA-9805 CD XM Rec CD Chngr (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18798)

What do you guys think of this setup? my friend with the amp and the sub i'd be getting, i'd be hitting harder than 2 12s could with that amp... also, does anyone have any ideas of a system that could hit harder? (Im not looking to spend an insane amount on the system, and his discount as a worker at best buy should help alot).

thanks

try selecting a different amp. If you like rockford get a rockford amp also. Pioneer is a peak power amp.

I am running (2) HX2 12's in my car. I would go with the HX2's i think there a better speaker for the money and handle alot more power. I would also recommed a JBL 1200.1 for (2) 12's or a JBL 600.1 for (1) 12. The amps are underated, Im pushing close to 1400 watts on my 1200.1. RF speakers usually demand ALOT of power and alot of air space to sound good and these amps absolutly slam them. Not to mention the JBL amps dont cost you a bundle. Alpine is your best bet as for decks. Check my sig for more info on my setup.

A single He2 with a Pioneer amp isin't going to satisfy you. Go with what rthompson or Z28 97' said.

Go with that Adire, and then whichever JBL amp you could afford. Welcome to the world of better sound.

I'm not a fan of RF, so I also would check out the Adire line if I were you.

Go with the JBL 1200.1 amp for the power/price ratio. It's very good for the price.

A lot of how hard it is going to hit will depend on the type of box you use.

Why are you going to the 12's just out of curiosity? Did you not like the sound of the 15?

honestly I love the sound of the Tempest, its just that I had a hard time making a box for it, and I think I could've made a better one than what I did make. So, now i either want to try over with a new box design and make it bigger, or just go down in size with either 2 12" or 10" subs and make a box for them.
