Well it's been a little bit of trouble but my custom alt is here . 200 amp alt, will put out around 125 amps at idle, and 200 at 2000 RPM's. This should help feed the kids, they have been starving for more juice.

Thanks I think it looks pretty good. I'm about to finally get around to putting it in, afterwords I expect to see a nice improvments in the voltage to my amps.

Nathan from Excssive Amperage made it for me. I got a deal on it from a group buy, and then he painted it for free cuz I had to send it back to him cuz he put the wrong style of battery post on it. It cost me $240, I'm not sure how much he will charge to regulary make one like that. If you want info to contact him for a quote pm me.

Seems to have a pretty decent improvment on the system, and the volts stay stedy right around 14.1-14.3 (on the amps). So far I'm happy with it

 

A few pics of it installed, I just cleaned under the hood the other day. It's all dirty again, and so is the new alt, oh well.

How did you get such a high output at idle? I thought their alts only kicked in the higher output at 900RPM or something like that. Thats the only thing thats kept me from buying one. The alts seem pretty good but I didn't care for the output below the 900RPM spec. Have they changed their design?

 

The last few HO alts I have had put out over 120 at idle, I tested them personaly. I have not tested this one yet, and I don't think I will, I already see a big improvment at idle. I'm not sure if they have made a huge change in the design in the last few years, but they are a lot better than what they use to be. Oh and this one puts out 115+ at 700RPM's, our cars idle right around there.
