Is this a good place for 4" kick? Negate benefit??>
Trying to figure out how to do a 3-way system in my car. need some fast help and suggestions. I like to have the max amount of leg room in my car, including use of my dead pedal and the area around the clutch.
I did find an area I can safely place a 4" mid and not cause any issues with my feet. The only problem though is its not in your conventional area.
Here is a few pics of where I am thinking on putting them. In the blue circled area. Has anyone ever done this or experience the sound this produced?? Am I negating any benefit the 4" mid may provide? How will my front stage be affected??
Any and all help is apreciated!!
Thanks!
Rob

The only problem I can see it that you wouldn't hear the right side being on the drivers side as loud as the driver side speaker. There is a company that makes pods designed for the sound you are looking for. They place the speakers in the areas you first described. Just look for a speaker that has good off-axis response. This setup sounds very clean and you can put bigger speakers than the 4" for better mid handling. Good luck!!
