I'm a new here so take it easy. I have a 98 z28 and i was replacing my front speakers with a rockford from my old car. I noticed that there are 2 sets of wires on the stock speaker and was wondering what for? is one for a tweeter? and then does that meant i have to get a set of component or can i use the ones i got now?

 

it's probably the monsoon system. which is significantly different from most systems.

 

so what does that mean?

 

I wonder if you can hook them together? The 2 red and the 2 negative hooked the to the positive and negative on an aftermarket speaker, and what if that aftermarket speaker had a high pass filter on it for the tweeter like on new polk audio speakers?

 

For a two way speaker not a set of componets

 

never mind I bought these sweet coaxial speakers to put in my doors but since they won't work i put them in the very back custom fit and i will just by some components for the front.
