ford colors are green/yellow for 12v constant, yellow black for 12v switched, sometimes black or red for ground. speakers can be found by taking a 9volt battery and tesing spkr wires on the battery leads. it should make a scratch or pop sound when you hit the right wires. Once you have eliminated the powers and illumination. this method should work.

well theres no black or red for ground...the ground wire is fat black with a green stripe i think atleast......and when i hook up the deck (eclipse) i get absolutely nothing on the faceplate when i push the "open" button it opened up spit out the disk i left in when i uninstalled it and then didnt close back up and wont take anymore cds im kinda stumped here the eclipse worked perfect in my TA so i dont think its the deck has to be the wires.

yeah ive seen that already....see u cant just look up "ford wires" cause ford never set a specific set of wire colors....so every year is different...like the car is only a 92 but has some of the wires from the 98 and up...which makes no friggin sence....i got til friday to get this thing installed cause thats when i put it on the road and i cant go more then a day driving a damn tempo with not even a radio.

get a DMM, and first start testing for 12volt constant, then turn the key to the on position and look for your 12v ignition, once you have those you can look for your ground, or just make a new one. besure not to mistake the illumination as 12v or ground you will usually know you used illumination as a power or ground if your deck will turn off or on when the lights are turned on or off. then using like a 9volt battery start searching for speakers, take one wire and hold it to the + side and start touching other wires to the - side of the bat you will know you got one when you here it making a popping noise. then all you have to do is wire your harness up.

Also if you are not getting any power make sure to test your fuses under the dash and under the hood. Also i would go to a stereo shop or best buy and pickup a reverse harness so you can wire a factory plug back onto the main harness.

if that doesn't work just use a DMM and a AA battery. That's how I do it when there's no wiring info, doesn't take long.

illumination will usually show 12v. with headlights on and ground when its off, thats why its important to make sure you dont have illumination acting as a ground or power otherwise when you turn your lights on your deck will probably turn off.
