sup guys i was thinking about ordering a system. this is not my first one i have had 2 solo baic 12s in my v-6 and i have decided to do it agian. I have seen the new MTX 9500 15' and a 1501d thunder amp(MTX) and a alpine unit. What do you think?

but MTX sucks!

$439 for the sub plus $439 for the amp = $878! WOW!

You could get and ID Max 12 for $325 or a Brahma 12 for $380.
Then you can get a JBL 1200.1 amp for < $400

Either of those subs would blow away that MTX.

I have run that amp in many combos and have yet to be dissapointed especially for that price!

while I am a big fan of the Idmax. I don't think MTX sucks. I have installed lots of MTX product over my 13 years in car audio and while sometimes I thought their amps were current hogs I never thought they sucked. I have heard a couple of set-ups with the 9500 series subs and they sound very good in both SQ and SPL. THe Jbl amp is good for the money, but not the cleanest. I can say this because I sell them everyday. Now the Crown/Jbl is another story.
