Does anyone know if I have to have a specific Fob key "Keyless entry remote" for a 2000 Trans Am? I've looked on Ebay and have found G.M. Fobs key but it doesnt say for what vehicle it was for. I also found Fobs keys for Camaros but again i'm not sure if that will work or not. Does anybody know? Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

 

This is covered in your owner's manual.

 

search firebird, or camaro remote on ebay.

Match the part number on the back of the key fob, 16245100-29 will work on 98-02 f-body's.

I have bought 2 off ebay, for $16, and $20 each.
