This is a very great unit but it's very pricey. Retail from Alpine is right at one grand. You could get it cheaper at onlinecarstereo.com for $750.

i got a jensenvm9312hd multimedia reciver (hd rdio,dvd,mp3,wma,ipod,sat ready) and you can buy nav1001 for it also. i got mine at h h greg. paid like 300.00 for it . it's got good points and bad . first the bad ,but this would be with any flip up, you hvac controls. i find myself having to close it alot. the good put a movie in it and it's has goodor better than going to them movies. well i guess if you got a system sounds good with stock stuff , add some tens the you really got a system. the remot is kinda big.also i put mine in myself. i think now i wish that i would have had it installed.
from what ive been told, and what i have tried to do, to fit a double din in a 4th gen lt1 involves alot of custom work. your on the right path by sticking to a flip up, check out eclipse, pioneer, and alpine, for their reliablity is higher then the others. the downside like stated is that your HVAC controls are covered.
