i have a 2001 ss, i bought it without its original radio, i know that it came from factory with a monsoon system with cd changer but all that was removed and it was replaced with the factory radio(casette) of an 99 s-10. ok so i bought a monsoon radio with cd from a '98 z28 on ebay and i'm trying to install a usaspec interface for ipod but i have a problem with the AUX button it seems that it doesn't work, should this button display something even if it doen't have anything connected on the back of the radio???

 

To the best of my knowledge '98 factory CD HU's don't have changer controls so I'm guessing that the AUX won't work either. The factory CD HU in '98 and most of the '99 model year did not have changer controls. Only the tape decks did. Some time durring the '99 model year changer controls were added to the factory CD HU's.
