factory amp location

factory amp location

where is the factory amp??? i cant seem to find it

It's on top of the wheel well on the passenger side in front of the spare. It's mounted on a platic plate and is on the fender side of the plate. If you use the search function you would have found this info easily. This question gets asked often.

do all the ls1 camaros have a amp there or is it just with the monsoon system?

Just the POS Monsoon.

Most, if not all, BOSE systems have individual amp modules with each speaker.

i meant the bose... not the monsoon... does it make a difference?

Yes, it makes a difference. The POS Monsoon uses a multi-channel amplifier while the BOSE uses individual amplifier modules on each speaker.

i took out all my speakers and replaced then with pioneer 3 ways... so does that mean they are all un-amped?

That depends. What did you attach them to?

I haven't actually seen a BOSE setup in a Camaro yet so I may be mistaken. I'm going by what I HAVE seen in Corvettes and other BOSE equipped cars. In all of them each speaker had it's own amplifier module. Unlike the POS Monsoon system which uses a mult-channel amp. I should have made that clear earlier.
