fabrication?

I don't really know where this post belongs, but hopefully you guys can help. I have a 95 z28 and I am wanting to switch out the console for a 97+ basically for more and better cup holders. Thing is when you do this there is a gap where the old cassette/cd holder is. I am wanting to fab something up that will hold my cd player there and look stock. Then where my cd player was I am going to put my boost gauge and A/F gauge. Thing is how do you get it to look stock (plastic) Is there some kind of plastic coating or something to put over a wood frame. or does someone just sell big blocks of plastic? Thanks for the help

Re: fabrication?

I know I can carpet it to match the carpet, but I want it to look as stock as possible and look like one solid piece from the dash to the console like it does now all plastic. Hopefully that clears it up a little better thanks again.

Re: fabrication?

this seems funny I am the only one posting to my thread lol. I guess I could go with fiberglass as well. Although I have never messed with it. How hard is it to fiberglass something? The piece is going to be pretty small so I thought of trying myself. Is there a fiberglass kit or something? Some help please thanks again.
