I found this new headunit from pioneer, but its a double din, which wont fit according to crutchfield. I know that the interior trim is not the right size for a double din radio, but aside from that, is there any reason it wont fit, there seems to be plenty of room above the stock radio. Has anyone taken the challenge of making this work? How about some pics? I really like this radio and its worth some hard work to make this happen. Its the Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD. Let me know what you guys think.

 

I've seen a double DIN HU in a DIN and a half dash twice and in both cases the installs looked like total crap. Unless you're able to fabricate a new radio trim panel that looks good I would forget about it.
