Door Light

I know this is kind of dumb but I'm sure most everyone here wants their car looking as good as new. Anyway I recently had my driver side window replaced and the little light that shines down on the window switches isn't working. I tried to take the light out so I could try to find a replacement bulb but it doesn't look like the light comes out. Can someone please help me? It's a 2000 Z28. From what I can see it looks like you have to cut the wire and buy a whole new light and socket and splice the new one in. Thanks for the help.

You have to twist it then it comes out.
I forget which way you twist it just be gentle with it.
I think it's counter clockwise.
The bulb just pulls strata out.

yeah, they come out but they break pretty easy. I had to pull little pieces out with tweezers when one broke.
