I have an Sony CDX-L350 and I can get a Clarion DXZ-825 for like $225 plus shipping. Do you think I should go for it?

 

Clarions usually have excellent sound quality...Alpine IMO is the best. Sony is down at the bottom with Jensen and Audiovox

 

Yeah I like Alpine and I can get a good deal on their stuff too. But what Alpine would be on the same level as say the Clarion DXZ825?

 

I think it's worth it. The sony only has 1 set (2V) RCA output. The Clarion has 3. And $225 sounds like a decent price for it. However, I'd get the Alpine 7892. You can get this for about the same price. It includes the Bass Engine Plus feature which gives you 4-channel time correction along with a whole slew of other features. That is a HUGE step up from the Sony!
