Unhappy Delco changer problem

Bought my 99 Z28, came with factory 12 disc controlled by the monsoon deck. Sometimes when I start my car it ejects the magazine from the changer while still holding onto a cd with the door shut. Usually I have to force it back in, then it puts the cd back and ejects the magazine fully. Then I push it back in and it works fine. Has anyone heard of this before? Do I just have to get a new changer or can it be fixed?

The delco changers are made by pioneer for GM and not exactly known for being the highest quality and longest lasting electronics. However, they have a price tag that of a solid block of gold. If it keeps up you can pick up another one for 500 or so dollars new or one of ebay for somewhere around 200+ dollars. You could contact f-parts slavage at www.fparts.us and see if they have one laying around. I would personally get an after market changer. I believe there are two that work with the factory system one is a Kenwood and the other is a Pioneer. I just went with an RF unit, for fear the delco head unit might fail someday.
