Custom well enclosure install
Custom well enclosure install
Here's the custom well box I made. Its wrapped in black vinyl over a layer of thin carpet. I put carpet down first to hide the texture of the screw heads and such. The amps are getting mounted in the same location on a board wrapped in black vinyl. Ignore the wires, thats not permanent. It turned out nice and sounds really well. I haven't mounted the old school emblem yet but its in place where its going to be. It took about 4 days to make and cost about $35.

very nice -- does each sub have it's own separate chamber? How many cu.ft. per chamber? Looks like you might have between 1 and 1.25? I unfortunately could only squeeze .75 out of my "half" enclosure due to the angle I took (so I could still use the well cover piece).
yeah there is a divider between the subs. I dont know the exact cu. ft. but it should be about .9 to 1 cu. ft. My well cover still closes if I want it to but for now im just letting my amps sit on it until I make wrap a peice of wood for them to sit on.
thanks for the pics and thats a very nice setup. im not handy enough to make my own tho lol. maybe i can get someone to. did you take the t-top racks out all together? also do you know if the bass is deeper firing the way you have them or straight up?
my car didn't have t-top racks in it when I bought it. my box doesn't go quite deep enough to hit the bolts that the racks would be held down with. At one time, I had a cheap banpass box turned upside down firing into the well. It was a cheap box but it sounded great. I had the same w3's in that box. thats the only other setup I've had. It was deeper, loose if you will, bass. My current setup, is tight, clean, yet loud. The current setup does hit very deep too though.
