has anyone made a custom amp box to sit behind the rear seat of a camaro? if so what is the best material to make it out of and where could i get the stuff. im sick of my JL amp just sitting back there so i want to spice it up a little and make one and carpet it, unless of course there is a cheap place that sells them, though i cant find one. thanks

 

pretty much any material will work if it's just for the amp rack. You don't need to make out of 3/4 mdf...to save some weight But anything stirdy will work but just to make sure to use mdf if you are going to build a sub box

I didn't make a box.... but I did build "rack" in the back for my 2 amps...

very nice install. I did notice on the first pic, do you have lights in the air intake? And is where you have your front licence plate, is it legal?

yes, yes I do have a light in the intake... actually it's a LED 3rd brake light from a Nissan.

Is the plate legal.... don't know.. but I haven't gotten hassled for it... and it's been that way about a year now... and there's about 3 other f-bodies in this city with them there...
