Convertible equal's no room in the trunk.
When I brought my car it came with a pair of JL Audio 10-W0-8's but I want to replace them with some better subs. But the problem is I have no room in the trunk. I cannot use the back seat either because that is where the amps are going since the guy that I brought the car from has them mounted as to where they hit the back window every time the top comes down so I will have to move the amps soon.
So here is the real question, can anyone think of a sub (or subs) that would work good with say 1000 watts in a 2.75 to 3 (max) cubic foot box?

For a great box for you vert types.... check out www.subthump.com
A ported 12" Brahma (try 1.5cuft. before port and woofer displacement) would fit your needs... but they are a little expensive... to most people anyway. How much are you looking to spend? Try a pair of 12" Kicker L7's sealed. Also would be a little expensive. Want cheaper? JL W3's or Alpine Type R's.

Personally, I don't think you would be able to enjoy the W7 to it's fullest in a trunk. It's suppose to be a SQ woofer... I just think you will miss what the W7 can really achieve. Very VERY clean. It can really only be appriciated in a hatch. I'm sure I will get bashed for that one, but that's my opinion. I have heard the JL W6V2's and was fairly impressed although for that price you could nearly buy a Brahma. Try the Brahma line. One 15" Brahma sealed, one 12" ported or two 12"s sealed. Although for 2 Brahmas you wouldn't be using them to the max with only 1,000watts. You can buy them from www.ampmanaudio.com Have an amp yet? Check out the Revolution at that same webpage. It does about 1600watts RMS at 1 ohm and has tons of features. $369 shipped!!!
