Components in the Sail panels

I just purchased a set of really nice component 6.5 speakers.

I got it all hooked up and the woofer works great but I have no tweeter. I have one question and that is...

is there an inline something for the sail panel speakers that I need to remove? I have just the factory Delco trans am system

factory door speakers
sail panels
factory rear trim spaeakers

10 speakers

let me know thanks

I wouldn't put tweeters behind you anyways; screws with the sound. Also, are you running a stock radio or aftermarket?

The 10-speaker systems all have strange impedances, and with swapping speakers you basically have to either stay stock, or gut and rewire the whole thing. It sucks, but it's the best way with the 10-speaker system.

I have an aftermarket deck

I have the standard front TA door panels with the 2 speakers in each door. then the two in the sail panels and then the 4 rear speakers, but not BOSE...

I talked to my Buddy and he said that the sail panels and the rear trim panel speakers are wired like one speaker for each side. Meaning that the sail panels are the woofers and the rear trims are the tweeters. makes sense because a radio is wired for four speakers. Two front and two rears. I have all aftermarket speakers with 4ohm resistance and they sound fine...

I know the monsoon and the BOSE have weird ohm speakers but I now the factory standards are 4ohm...atleast in the wiring diagram they are.

Bose was 2 ohm, and the Monsoon was mixed, 2,4,3,and/or 6; all sorts of strange impedances. I've always just gutted and re-wired the whole thing; it's only a 1-2 hour job once you figure out where you want to run the wires; hardest part is using a coat-hanger to fish the wires into the door.
