Angry CD stuck, how to get it out?

This morning my cd got stuck in my Delco Bose cd player. The stereo doesn't even recognize it's in there, it won't play or anything. How can I get this out? Thanks for any help, the radio stinks!

Is there a security code? If so, remember it and disconnect your battery and reconnect. Maybe that will work

Hey dude, I had this exact same problem with Delco/Bose CD player, which IMO are absolute ****. The only way to fix it is to disconnect the battery from the car, let it sit for a minute or so, and reconnect it. If there is a security code, remember it! You'll loose your presets and all that stuff, naturally. Sorry, hope that helps!

Delco / GM CD decks are all crap. I wanted to hold onto it to have an all original car, but function preceded form in the end. Anyway sometimes my deck would eject the cd with the deck power off, and take a cd only with the deck power on. It got so bad that the heat from the car had to heat the deck - seriously after an hour of driving - until it would release the cd, only while I held the eject button the entire time. Get your CD out, then get the deck out. -- Even my parents '00 Escalade CD deck has been replaced twice.

I find that a hammer works pretty good.

Actually, I did have a broken off hydraulic jack handle that I kept in my Monte Carlo which did the same thing with the CD player, and after a few months of that BS 4 or 5 buttons were busted, one of the ***** was broke, and the display was smashed in and completely non-functional. There were footprints all over the dash from me setting the cruise and kicking the stereo repeatedly (while driving ). When that guy hit me and his insurance bought the car, they musta hated me
