CD Player Installation

I was wondering what all had to be removed to install an in-dash cd player? All of the dash?? Part of the Dash??? The passenger side rear tire?????? Please let me know the secrets of the cd installation process. O yea...1996 Camaro Z28

if your sitting in the driver side seat, the panel right on top of your legs will have to be removed, probably 5-6 screws if i remember. Then you have to remove the glove box, probably 5-6 screws as well. Once they are removed, the panel around the head unit has 2-3 screws on each side of it, and you can get to it.

when installing a jensen wiring harness or any wiring harness for that matter, is soldering required or is it a simple plug and play?

and do i need to buy a separate installation mounting kit or will it fit into the stock setting? Right now i dont care about open space showing above or below the cd player just want it to go in without having to worry about purchasing too many extras.
