I have a 2001 camaro SS. It came stock with a monsoon tape player (model# 10306066) and a factory 12 disk cd changer. I hate the tape player. I dont even own a tape so I decided to replace it with a factory cd player. I bought a monsoon cd player out of a 99 camaro ss (model #16255321) and it DOES have the option for a AUX. Everything plugs up perfectly BUT when I press the AUX button it doesnt do anything. It acts like nothing is even plugged up to it. When I plug the changer up to the tape deck it works. I have no clue what to do. Any suggestions?? Anyone run into the same problem??

Not all '99 factory CD players have changer controls. Some time durring the '99 model year they were added to the factory CD HU.

What is weird is this. If I look at closely at the lcd I can see where the word "disk" is there. So do you think if I get another one from a year 2000+ model it should work??

Like I already said, you need a late '99 or 2000 or later HU to control the factory changer.
