Car Stereo Write-ups

Any one have write-ups on either the camaro or the firebird? I'm just getting ready for what I'm about to get myself into. I'm installing a new headunit, 4 new speakers, amp, and a stealth box. Thanks.

That is for the HU. The speakers are well self explanatory. To get to the front ones you do have to take off the door panels. Those are the most hassle. To run your power cable to your amp you have to go to the firewall which is at your passenger side kick panel. Removing your PCM will make it a lot more easier to work with. Keep the ground and power cables separate to get no hissing noise. Get a goood clean ground too. Good luck

I'm from St. Cloud. Which is pretty far from you. Isn't Warroad near Lake of the Woods?

I do have a question about running the power wire through the firewall. Well, I know where to run it through, but how am I suppose to fit a 4 guage wire through that little grommet? Is it best to just cut the end of that grommet, then run the wire throught it, and then tape it up a bit?

Also, where are you guys putting your crossovers in the camaro or firebird? I'm looking at getting some Focal Components. I also need to know the max depth for a front speaker. Thanks

I fit 1/0awg through that grommit. Wasn't hard at all either. No tape, no nothing. Put your crossovers in the dash. There is a ton of room under both sides. And as far as mounting depth goes, anything under 3" should be good. The Infinity Kappas are 2 7/16" and they fine fine.

Sorry to bother you again, but where's the best place under the dash?

And do you have any pictures of those tweater pods? I may be interested in a set. Thanks.

You're not bothering me bro. That's what I do. Not sure if there really is a "best place". Like I said, there's plenty of room up there. Just ziptie them to something so they don't fall all over the place and you'll be good to go. It's easy. And I sent you a PM about the pods.
