Car stereo voodoo?

I have bad door speakers on my z28. I bought Polk GXR6 6 1/2 for the doors. Sound pretty good. I took the tweeter from the orignal Monsoon door speaker and put it up in the headliner near the visor. I did this because I did not want to leave 2 of the 4 wires from the door speaker unwired. I must confess I am more of a Motorhead then Audiobuff. Help point me in the right direction
Good Idea Bad Idea I have'nt cut anything yet. Thanks

Bad idea. Having more than one set of tweets up front will smear your soundstage. Just leave the tweeter wires disconnected. Tape them down so that the connector won't rattle against anything.

"Stereo" reproduction relies on two speakers to recreate the soundstage from left to right. Adding extra sets of tweets smears that reproduction and ruins imaging.
