can someone help me with this damn cd player plzz???

ok so me and my friend are trying to install this cd player Cd player and we managed to get all the wires connected and what not.. atleast we THINK...

The problem is that we at 1st we had it Working and then my speedo wasnt working and was going with the beat of the music (dancing) and not the speed of the car.. it we got this weird sound in the speakers kinda like a buz.. so when i go to leave and the cd player is ON my speedo starts working and then the cd player doesnt and im like WTF!! well anywayz

From that i now only get that weird sound from the speakers and ANOTHER sound that is along the lines of a thut thut sound depending on how fast i am going at stop i dont get the sound and as i speed up that sound gets faster and faster in beat. The only way to stop it from making that sound it to turn it off.

The 2nd problem is that i have 6 speakers and we can only get 4 to work sence it only controlls 4 and there was this other set of wires that we dont know what it goes to.. the only thing we can think of is that those wires go to the other speakers.

But now we only didnt have the drives side speaker in the door working and the one in the drivers side back seat but now i think i am only getting that weird sound from that drivers side speaker in the door and none of the other things are working

He dad knows alot about camaros but was pissed off about something at that time so we didnt want to bug im and he told me to bring it back this weekend and maybe we can figure it out. He said it might be a fuse.

if ya need anymore info to help ya just post it.. Thanks

Did you buy the adapter plug for the stock wiring harness. If you just cut the wires, then you've got yourself if a big mess. I mean big, theres alot of wires on that thing especially if it is a bose or monson system. Either way those systems have amps, you will haft to get some lowlevel converters, then basicly figure out what each wire is. It will take you some time. THey make an adapter that works perfect for that takes like 10 min to install.

uh, no....try again...

The cars that do have amps, have the same exact connector behind the radio. You can find the color codes over at www.installdr.com, youll need adobe acrobat to view it, and mines ****ed, so I cant give you a direct link.

Anyway, Ive never heard of this before. Sounds like you have quite the problem on your hands...

I just installed that exact same Pioneer model in my girlfriends 2001 Cavalier, it works great, but what a pain in the A$$....I have installed quite a few stereos in diff. vehicles, and that install was definately that most time consuming.

I believe the other connector you mentioned is the factory changer controls. Is it a flat plug with 6 or 7 wires coming from it? If so thats the changer control harness.

Lightbulb

Damn, settle down fellas.....
Let me let you in on a secret "Big Punisher", being critiqued pisses off most men. If you want to express your opinions, not everyone is going to accept what your saying all the time; ie - get used to it. Although, cutting the wires is the harder way to do it, and makes for some potential problems. A wireing harness is definately the easiest way to do it, and the correct way. They only cost like $8-$15, and makes the job a lot easier.
