Can It Be Done? 98+ Hatch Trim Speakers in a Early 4th Gen.
Can It Be Done? 98+ Hatch Trim Speakers in a Early 4th Gen.
O.K. In the hatch of my Camaro there are the side trim pieces. You know, the pieces that cover the spare tire / hold that flap on.
So mine are pretty much junk. The flap piece hardly stays on because the plastic that it clips to has been broke away some. So I'm thinking, could I replace them with the pieces from the later model camaros (I am assuming this is only in the 98+'s, but 97 probably also have them).
So basically, I could take out my pieces, replace them with the 98+ pieces that have speakers in them and run speakers of my amp? I have a 4 channel amp, so 2 channels for the speakers and 2 for the sub. (Don't have a sub yet either).
What all needs to be done, will this work, and do I need to run speaker wire from the headunit, and if so what is a good route to route my wires without tearing apart my whole interior.
Thanks for any help.
