Camaro install pics

An install I did for a buddy from wisconsin. The components:
Pioneer HU he already had
Infinity 611a monoblock
Infinity 7541a 4channel
2x Infinity Kappa Coaxials
2x Elemental Designs SQ10's
Knukonceptz Wiring
Oznium Cold Cathodes and Switches
Custom DrivenAudio sub box/amp rack

The ride

The radio

Speaker installed in front doors (all new wire was ran to the amp)

Speaker installed in sail panel, the tweeter is so deep on these speakers it hits the grill but we were able to get them back on

The 4 channel is underneath, with the monoblock on top with some cold cathode tubes mounted underneath it for some bling bling

The view. It turned out looking absolutely bad ***, ill get some pics from nite soon.

We also put cathodes under the dash, unfotunately I sat on one of them and it cracked so there isnt one on the drivers side but hopefully there will be a replacement installed soon. We also put switches in the center counsle for the rear lighting, under dash lighting, and the power antenna which I wired up for Paar. All and all the system sounds great and looks even sweeter. Questions, comments, etc

nice Greg -- not a bad looking '97 he has as well

SQ10s and that box seem to be perfect if someone wanted full trunk space or use of t-top racks (and want to maintain full rear-view) -- only drawback would be the fact that it looks very inviting to thieves -- tell that kid to keep a blanket or large towel of some sort back there and cover it up if he parks somewhere "shady"...might be hard to tell if anything is even under there the way our hatches angles are.

looks great man. I can get a deal and a half on infinity and jbl speakers and amps. How does the 4 channel system sound? I'm prob gonna go with the infinity speakers and amp. What size speaker is in sail panel? It looks like a 6.5.

6.5 or 6.75 (6.5S -- either fits fine)

Greg -- what color is that carpeting on the box? Is that charcoal or black? (corresponding to Parts Express' colors).

Did good at running the wires back seperated, but ya shot it all to hell when you ran the power right along with the signal cables up from under the box :P I personally think it would look better if the power/signal wires ran straight up and into the terminals instead of shoved all into one. You'll get less noise from running them seperate too. Other than that, it looks clean

Ive done my fair share of installs and no noise at all here, when you use quality stuff you usually dont get noise. Under the monoblock where the wires come up the signal and power wires actually come through seperate holes as well. Basically he told me how he wanted it to look and what the goals were and I did it.

Thanks for the kudos

Similar. Obvioulsy enclosure placement will play with sound a bit. I guess it depends what type of install you are looking for

very nice. I just finished an install for a friend. He is running 1 12" alpine type x in vented box in his mazda b4000 truck. SQ isn't that great but it is LOUD. He is actually using the same sub amp that you used in this install. we got it for $160ish at best buy since I believe its last year's model.

Ummm, no While it may sound decent for what it is, your glorified truck box with two puny sq 10s in it is absolutely no camparison in raw output to two 12s in a cubic foot of volume each. There is a big difference.
