Bridging question - 2 ch. amp, dvc sub

I need a little clarification on bridging an amp for a dvc sub.

If a two channel amp says it is bridgable to 4 ohms do I want a dvc sub to have a 4ohm load overall or an 8 ohm load?

I guess I'm not sure if you have to divide the sub's ohms by how many channels are bridged or if you just match the speakers ohms to what ever the amp says it can handle while bridged.

Thanks.

You want a load that equals 4 ohms. So you could have: a single 4 ohm driver, 2 2 ohm loads wired in series or 2 8 ohm loads wired in parrallel, etc. Anything that gives you a 4 ohm load.
