brake light problem plz help

if i hit the brakes with head lights off the break lights work fine. if i turn the head lights on the tail lights come on but when i hit the breaks the left brake lights go out. while the right come on. i have replaced all the bulbs and replaced the brake light switch what else could it be?

Maybe a head light switch ? Not sure need feed back befor i start dumping more money into it and waisting time searching for a short.

Re: brake light problem plz help

My right brake light doesn't light, then the left one doesn't work when the right one does. Then sometimes one is brighter than the other.

Then with the headlights on the right one quits again.

Seems like someone should have the answer.

I've tried to fix the problem twice, new bulbs, cleaned the sockets, and cleaned the ground.

Is there more than one ground?

Anyone?
