Blew my new speakers! ?

Okay I got this DUAL 6 1/2" 140watt speakers from fries the other day, they also has these built in LED's on the tweeter which make a cool refelection off the cone. It has two posts on the speakers ,one for the audio from the headunit and another for the 12v + ground for the LEDs. I accidently switched the 2 and put the 12v and ground on the terminal which was meant for the speaker input. I turn my key and I speakers make a pop noise, and come to their fully extended positions (like you would see them on bass notes) and then once you turn the key back off they would go back to normal obviously. So my question is, I had no head unit to test if they are blown but could they be? I looked at the speakers and the coil seems to still be connected and everything. Would doing what I did blow a speaker? It was only one for like 2 seconds.

Swap the wires and see.... it won't hurt the speakers anymore than you already did....

But you shouldn't have, but the only way to tell for sure is to install them correctly and see....
