battery switch
I figure the readers here are likely experts on the issue.
I am moving my batter to the trunk - mainly an appreance move and not to make myself legal at the track.
I picked up a battery switch that I want to install so that I can turn the power off when working on the car - as the batter will be sealed in a vented box I figure a keyed switch would be easier.
The switch is rated to 1000 amps on surge.
should I install it on the power or ground side?
I assumed that the power side was better but the more I think of it the more i think the ground side may be preferred.
I see the benefits of the power side as being that if I have it switched off and accidentlyy ground the power wire after the switch - nothing happens while if I switch off the ground I still have a power wire that can short out if grounded.
suggestions?
