battery malfunciton?

battery malfunciton?

The other day I was driving around with my brother and we relized that on the drivers side the speakers would not work but they worked fine on the passengers side. also the window on the passengers side would not go up or down but the drivers side window would....is this becuase of the battery or a wiring problem?

Battery would kill the entire car, not just parts of it. Defenetly some sort of wiring issue.

It could just be 2 seprate issues that just happened to fail at the same time. It could be as simple as a bad speaker and a bad window motor.

I agree, the stock window motors are known to die out pretty quickly as they're pretty small for the size window they have to move.

I wouldn't rule out that they both died at the same time, but it almost sounds like the wires running from the body to the door have either gotten pinched or shorted somehow. Does the door lock work from that door? If not, i'd check for some kinks or open wires creating shorts in the door or wires leading to it. You can also remove the switch for the windows and use a multimiter to check if they're getting juice. Probably going to be easier than taking the door apart.
