Trying to find a good spot to mount an amp, and I noticed the area that the stock monsoon amp looked relatively the same size as my new amp. I'm trying to do this as cost effective as possible, so if this location would work it would be great. Has anyone tried doing this before? Thx.

 

i have not done it, but wondered the same thing. it looks like it could be done pretty easily. might want to be careful that the new amp isn't too heavy. i think it is mounted to the exterior body panel. it also looks like it might be a little hard to get to.

 

thats true and your probably gonna want to make sure you get a good amount of air flow to keep your amp cool and not over heat

 

what made you replace the amp? We think ours is what is causing our speakers not to work.

 

LS1 RULZ knows about this, in fact he designed an amp rack which will attach to the back wall of the T-Top well. It looks like it will be well ventilated, and won't interefere with the storage of T-Tops, if you got 'em.

 

Thanks for the replies. I just went ahead and ordered ahead and ordered the amp rack like you mentioned Bert. I wanted the keep the amps out of site so this should work well. Thx guys
