anyone ever repair a sub?

On one side of my 10" JL 10w3v2 it seems that it has pulled apart along part of the sub. If the sub is off and I push in on the sub...I can feel the air seep right out. Also while playing...along with the bass I hear a little vibration from it. Is there a way for this to be repaired? Or am I going to need to buy a whole new sub? I like the way my sub sounds...if its not to expensive to repair it...and once its repaired the chances of it doing this again are slim...then I would like to go that route...lemme know if you got any ideas.

I would contact JL and ask them about it. If it's a materials problem they may fix it at no charge.

Your talking about a recone, its very common and if its under warrenty JK will fix it for free as long as you pay for shipping there and back, dont waste your time trying to do it yourself, its never going to sound and preform the same if you do

They arnt "garbage" in the sence that you are just giving them to much power to work with, they arnt like many higher quality subs like adire, re, even elemental designs.. are all designed to have more then peak watts thrown at them constantly and not cause problems

I had a problem with one of 12WO's (a while back) and I sent it off under warranty. I swear by JL, because for the price, I don't think you can beat the sound, but it took forever to get my sub back. I would say 4-6 weeks. I didn't have to pay shipping. You only get a year warranty, I believe, and that's only if you have a shop that deals JL stuff install the subs.
