Anyone with Alpine Experience, In here!

I'm looking to put an Alpine brand CD player in my 95 Z. I'm looking at Crutchfield.com and I see a pretty good CD/MP3 reciever, its the CDE-9843, and it's moderately priced @ 150. I am asking anyone who knows their Alpine HUs to help me out, recommend a player from experience or one that you've heard good things about. This will be my first CD player in the Camaro, it came with the Bose SS but for some reason no CD player

1)I only want Alpine, I had one made back in the 90s and I liked it a lot.
2)MP3 capability
3)Stylish
4)Below $200. If there are any discount sites, please recommend.

Thanks guys

Why dont you look at Ebay. I have been watching the prices slowly drop on Alpine MP3 cd players steadily over the last few months and am about to buy a 9847. I like the 9847 because it does NOT have a flip down face...has 4v front/rear/sub preouts, BBe (it makes a lot of difference). I am so over the days of multi-colored fluorescent displays that look like airport landing strips. I like the basic look and function of a well designed stereo where you dont have to drop the door to insert a CD, or go thru multiple menus to do even the simplest of things. I miss my old 7909. ANYWAY....you can get a 9843 on Ebay for under 100 bucks brand new in the box..or you can get a 9847 for under 150. These arent refurbished or used. BRAND NEW.

I would be leary of owning an Alpine without warranty. Something has definetly changed in the Alpine HU's since last year's product line and they've had quite a few problems.

The slot load players are definetly a better way to go over their motorized face players, but at the same time..be careful.
