Any mathmagicians in here?

I need to throw together a cheap box for my truck. I need 2.15 cubic ft(1.25 on one side, .90 on the other) The subs are 6 1/2" deep.
Simple box with a slanted face. I am using 3/4"mdf, and i need the face to be 15" x 30"
I am giving myself a headache trying to figure out the other dimensions. Anyone good at this?

Usually, truck boxes are dimensioned like this

Width
Height
Bottom Depth
Top Depth

And if the chambers are not identical (not sure why) you'd slide the divider over.

I could draw you up some prints, but I don't wanna spend an hour on the cad for nothing in return.

Sorry, but I gotta ask...

Why do you need the chambers to be different sizes? I hope it's because you're designing some kind of bandpass enclosure and not because you'll be using two different subs.

Go the the "Education" section at mtxaudio.com and look around the formulas there. They show you have to figure dimensions and stuff.

i figured something out for you.

looking at the box from the side

Imagine a triangle with 2 45 degree angles and one 90 degree:

base is 10.61"
Height is 10.6"
Hypotenuse (sp) is 15"
30" long

that gives you a volume of 0.976 cu ft

then add a recangle behind it with a

base of 6.4"
height of 10.6"
Length of 30"

that will give you 1.18 cu ft

2.156 cu ft total in a box like this
___
/___|
Bah wtf the picture is all messed up, i think you get the idea though

Your welcome!
