Question Another Alarm Question, Please Help!

So I have the Viper 790 XV and I recently got the 508D proximety sensor as an add on. I was wondering how to wire it? The instructions don't tell me much! Can I just splice into the wires of the existing shock sensor, they both have the same 4 color wire harness (black, red, blue, green). Any help would be much appreciated!

if you dont have the extra sensor input you'd have to tap into the shock sensor wire.

if you tap into the shock sensor wire you will have to diode isolate the 508. I think you will need a n1004d, but cant remeber the correct number. You can get some at Radio shack.

would I really need the shock sensor after putting the proximety sensor on? The alarm is going to go off if anyone approaches right?

you have to adjust the field of the sensor, there is a outer shell that will do a warn away chip if someone breaks the field, then if someone breaks the 2nd field the alarm will go off, you will have to see how far the field will expand around your car, otherwise there could be some area's that arent covered.
