Amp Tuning Help Needed
Amp Tuning Help Needed
I have two Hifonics Industria amps: Pegasus 2x100 at 4 OHMs and Gemini 4x50 at 4 OHMs. The Gemini is powering 4 Boston CX5's and the Pegasus is powering an Orion XTR 15. I keep on screwing with my amps trying to tune them, but I think I need some help!
Here is what I have:
The Gemini for the front 4 speakers has the following settings:
3&4 Hipass: 0 Hz to 675 HZ
Lopass: 45 Hz to 5.3 Khz
Level B: 4 V to 0.15 V
Amps 1/2 Source: 3 options--3&4 Dupe; Hipass from A; Full Range From A
Level A: 4 V to 0.15 V
Hipass A: 45 Hz to 5.3 Khz
Amps 3&4 Source Select: Hipass from B; Lopass from B; Lopass from A
Lopass Config: 2 ch stereo; 2 ch mono; 4 ch mono
The Pegasus has the following settings:
Amp Source Select: Full Range; Hipass from Crossover; Lopass from Crossover
Lopass Config: 10x mono; 1x stereo
Selector Range: 10x mono; 1x stereo
Crossover Freq Select: 10 Hz to 5.3 Khz
Cross Shift: 0.3 to 1.0
Level: 4 V to 0.15V
I am hoping someone can help walk me through this! Thanks!

As much as I'm sure many of us would like to help you, its VERY hard to tune a system without being physically there. The thing is that different amps and different speakers are going to sound different when tuning, unless you can find someone with the same exact equiptment as you.
What might help more is if you described what the problem with the sound is (ie. distortion, not loud enough, not hitting the right frequencies etc) then maybe we can help a little. But still the best thing to do is have a friend come over and have him/her turn the ***** while you listen. Good Luck
