Amp question?

yea -- here are possible ways to achieve a 2 ohm load using two subs:
WITH SVC SUBS ((1 voice coil per sub):
-wire two 4ohm single voice coil subs in parallel
WITH DVC SUBS (2 voice coils per sub):
-if you have two subs with impedances of 2 ohms per voice coil, then wire the voice coils on one sub in series with each other and wire the subs themselves in parallel with each other
-if you have two subs with impedances of 2 ohms per voice coil, then wire the voice coils on one sub in parallel with each other and wire the subs themselves in series with each other

Thanks Fred. The reason I ask is that a buddy of mine is selling his audio equipment(money issues)and he has an ALPINE MRP-M450 that he said he would sell me for $100.00. Since he needs the money,I was going to grab it. The specs look good,so I was going to either get a dual 4ohm/2ohm sub for a stealth box or get two 4ohms for a dual setup box.400rms x1 @2ohm seems pretty good to me.Just need to figure out what sub(s)I want to get. Alpine,Kicker,Been looking at the ED subs, etc.
