Amp Power Wire Firewall Access?

Did you use an exsisting firewall access or drill a new hole in the firewall for your amp power wire? Anyone have pictures of firewall access hole. Will be running amp powerline from battery to Subthump Amp rack. Any routing suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

when i got the system in my 95 camaro i ran the wire behind the fender then got it in the cabin through the hole that passes the door wires from the door to the inside of the car and that never gave me any problems.

just drill the hole right under the steering column i believe. i havent looked at it in awhile and i'm up at college so i cant send you any pictures. BUT definitly drill the hole. you just need a longer drill bit and you'll be good to go

sorry - pointless suggestion considering this has already been answered

using an existing grommet is much easier, and poses less of a chance for water to enter the vehicle unless properly sealed up

the "PCM" grommet poses no problems with water - as long as you enter near the bottom of the hole and put a little "dip" in the wire for water to drip off of

Followed shoebox instructions. Everything installed and works well.
Thanks again
